Cover crops

NPM creates university research-based informational resources to help farmers and crop production professionals with selection and management of cover crops for use in common Wisconsin crop rotations.  Included are publications, videos and newsletter articles covering a variety of cover crop topics.

Cover Crops 101 (A4176) is an 8- page booklet that provides basic information specific to Wisconsin farmers and agronomists about the challenges and benefits of adding cover crops to their cropping systems. Topics include establishment, residual herbicide considerations, termination guidelines, forage and grazing information as well as many others.
